Unless I'm mistaken, provided a tank can do 30% of the dps of one of the dpsers, and not even taking into account the dps of the fourth dpser coming in near the end and the healer, the two dpsers on Trollgore will need 3k dps - whilst having a full duration bloodlust - and from what I've gathered this is a pretty easy number under those circumstances. If heals aren't urgently required the healer can also contribute. Bloodlust is used when the boss is at 95%. After the boss is at 9 stacks, the third dpser swaps to the boss and also contributes their dps to bring him down before the next cast. Basically, tank and spank without worrying about running out of LoS, thus the boss getting 3 stacks each time consume is cast. Two dpsers on the boss at all times, the third dpser on the stairs solely working on adds. Basically, tank him in the alcove as per most strats, and have the shammy stand in the middle of the room, out of LoS of the boss but in LoS of me (likely to be the tank). I haven't tried it yet, however, my plan for the next run is this: high dps group (obviously), but preferably people that benefit greatly from bloodlust. That would set a stopwatch for 10 seconds, start the stopwatch, tell the group to dps for 10 seconds, then tell the group when it was time to get out.Īs long as the tank (or whoever) hits the macro right after the consume debuff increases, it works perfectly.Ĭomment by jaxsonbatemanTried the stopwatch method however we found that between the stop watch being used late and the boss somehow getting 2 extra stacks of consume at points (I believe that everyone was out of LoS, so either one of the NPCs got through or the healer wasn't actually out of LoS for those 2) we didn't have enough dps to get him down before 10. The melee DPS ran in and dps'd for 10 seconds, then ran around the corner onto the stairs for the consume.Įvery time the boss consumed the tank and the consume debuff increased by 1, the tank would use this macro: The ranged stayed on the stairs and took care of the adds, did not DPS the boss. The healer was standing around the middle of the room, in LOS of the tank but out of LOS of the boss. The tank was standing to keep the boss in the pocket. We tanked him to the left of the stairs, in that little pocket between the left pillar and the wall of the stairs. Rinse and repeat.Ĭomment by 6261The Consume debuff increases based on how many players or npc's are in his LOS. Stay out of Line of Sight until you see him get another stack of Consume from your tank. As soon as he gets a buff from consume from the tank, you have about 10-15 secs (I didn't count it) before he will do the next consume. If you're using the pillars at the other side of the room, you should have enough time to kill them before they get to Trollgore.Īny DPS that is staying on Trollgore will need to watch his debuffs or you can have your tank announce when he gets another stack. Depending on the group you may need to have two on adds. Healer: The healer should position themself somewhere in line of the tank but out of line with the boss.ĭPS: You should assign at least one person on the adds. I recommend using one of the pillars on the other side of the room. Tank: It's good to have the tank position Trollgore somewhere where he is out of line of sight from everyone except themself. Anything he can see will add a Consume buff. Comment by oioichuckConsume is based on what's in Trollgore's Line of Sight.
